Oh, My Husband

Every season that Jose has played soccer, he has gotten hurt. Not just a bruise or even a bloody nose...we're talking torn muscles, doctor visits, and months of recovery. Jose has promised me that this season he will not be injured. Well, we'll see. He is certain that these Shock Doctor shorts and shirt are the ticket to safe play. It's a little ridiculous...and he kind of looks like he could be in Tron or a Nike commercial...but, if it does the job...

Easter

We had a nice, relaxing Easter weekend around here. After Jose had to work on Saturday, we were so thankful for a day to wake up together, go to church and play at home. Griffin was pretty excited to find the colorful "balls" hidden in the living room after his nap. But, then he got distracted by his awesome new puzzle from Muffy and Skippy.

Our Day So Far...

Jose's Birthday and Time to Play

It's always such fun to plan a special week for Jose in April. This year we had a family cookout the weekend before his birthday and a candlelit dinner on his actual birthday. I love this man.

A few photos from our weekend of play.

Follow, follow, follow

Hi, friends. I would like to give you an invitation. As you know, my sisters and started a blog and etsy shop together. It is such a joy to be working together on something we're passionate about. If you haven't checked it out, please do. If you look at it regularly, we'd like to invite you to follow us on blogger. Don't worry...it's not a major commitment. But, you would be supporting us and for that we would be immensely grateful!

April 7

Happy Birthday to one of the kindest, most loving, most generous women I know! Mom, I hope your day is filled with joy. May you be showered with the same kind of selfless love that you've given us all our lives. And, go get yourself a venti caramel macchiato! (with an extra pump or two) Love you.

Happy Boy

I was planning on heading out to the museum or library today after morning nap. Other than music class yesterday, we've been at home a lot for the past week. Griff has been a grump. True, he hasn't been feeling well and we've done a lot of snuggling. But, the days are just so much longer when he's upset with everything. Today is a new day! He is actually happily playing. I think we're just going to stay here and enjoy climbing on and off the furniture reading our books and playing with the neglected toys. I just love when he's happy.

Virginia

One of the best things about being a stay-at-home mom is the flexibility. Especially when you need to travel cross-country to meet a sweet, little, brand-new nephew. I am so thankful that I was able to fly to Virginia to spend time with Lily and Finn, hang out with Court and Ry, and meet Crosby. As a bonus, I got to see my parents for a day and a half, as well.

Another truly precious Smith baby. Love him!
