Eating

I think we're a little behind on teaching Griff to eat with utensils. I really don't mind messes, but he's just so good with finger food. Is a spoon really necessary? Well, yes, I suppose.

What can I say? The boy likes to eat. The spoon was holding him back.

This and Last

Oh, to celebrate! Griff and I had the pleasure of joining my siblings and fifty of my dad's closest friends for his 60th surprise party. He was truly surprised and overjoyed that we were all there. It was great fun!

And, of course, we had some fun little cousin time. Isn't Finn just the cutest?

It's always a little sad to leave all my siblings, but Griffin and I were so happy to see Jose and be at home. He's been working hard on his walking and talking. I think he's hilarious in his jeans!

Airplanes and Automobiles

Griff is loving his plane and his cars right now. We often have airplanes fly over our house and he always starts waving his hand in the air and making his version of plane noises. (That's what he's doing below.) He was given several vehicles for his birthday, which he now races around the living room. I love to watch him in action. And, in case you're wondering, he's sitting on top of our ottoman. He figured out how to remove the cushion, so he could climb up on top of it. I think we're in trouble.

DMNS

 I always feel a sense of joy and adventure when I take Griff to the museum. There's so much to see and each time I take him there, I feel like he notices new things and is more aware. It has become a marker of his development--how he behaves at the museum. I think that our family membership is one of the best investments we've made this year, seriously. We just have so much fun every time we visit.

The Dead of Winter

Oh, the joy of a surprise spring day in the dead of winter. Griff and I had so much fun playing outside yesterday. The sun was warm on our faces even though the grass was wintry brown. I think it's safe to say that we're looking forward to spring!

Catch Up

Last week's Two by Two. These were actually taken last week...even if they weren't posted. I was reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I left it on the couch. I suppose the cover illustrations caught Griff's eye. It was a little heavy for him, but he managed to check it out. 

I think you'll have to wait a few years, big guy!
