Between Jose's surprise weekend getaway, generous gifts from family, and many sweet birthday messages, I felt so loved on my birthday. I am grateful for a truly special, memorable day. One of my hopes for this new year is that I can more frequently, more fully express my gratitude and care for the people in my life. Not because I'm afraid I won't get another chance or anything morbid like that, but because it is immensely uplifting to give and receive those words of appreciation.
