I love a good project.

When Griff started pulling up, we got rid of our tile and iron coffee table out of fear. (I might have also broken a tile by sitting on it--oops!) To replace it, I covered some little stools in fabric and made a fabric pouf, but I have been longing for a real coffee table for over a year and a half.

We decided it was time to brighten up our living room. We splurged on a new FLOR rug and bought some super-discounted pillows at Target. Then, I headed to Mile High Thrift Store, determined to find an old wooden coffee table that needed some love. I actually found two. But, this is the story of the table with the lovely Mickey Mouse drawer pull and scratched surface.

A little teal spray paint and some brown zebra fabric can go a long way! It was a little difficult to capture the colors perfectly with my phone (no, nothing is wrong with my camera), but the rug is blue, the table legs are teal, and the pillows are blue, teal and bright green. My living room feels ready for spring!!
